In late 2006, a Swedish woman living in the North of England heard of something called blogging. It was such a funny-sounding word, something new and unknown but for some reason, she felt an irresistible pull to give it a go and start her very own blog even though she didn’t consider herself tech-savvy.
This happened on Blogger in December 2006 and the name of her first blog was simply ‘Tarot and Healing.’ She had been writing and journaling for many years but had never been able to share her musings with a wider audience. The whole idea behind sharing her thoughts was to generate a sense of connection, to find like-minded souls and to have that feeling of ‘Really, you too? That’s so awesome.’
That Swedish woman was me, as you might have guessed. A lot has happened since that first blog. I’ve lost count of how many blogs I’ve started since then but the blog that enabled me to launch a Tarot-reading business back in 2011 was Tarotize.
After that, I launched Love Dove Tarot and Angelorum, the latter being the only blog still going strong. These three blogs were all part of my business and I soon realised I had to start thinking about how to approach blogging more as a business owner providing a service. It was no longer about me just sharing my musings—I had to start educating and providing value and entertainment, to keep and expand my audience.
We’re at that stage now in the development of the Internet where people are longing to go back to the basics of connecting with like-minded souls and that is how the idea of the Tarot Hive was born. I’m seeking to get away from AI-generated material as much as possible so that we can connect heart-to-heart instead.
But the Tarot Hive is not about me; It’s not even specifically about you (although I aim to entertain and educate you in some small way). It’s about us and growing by learning and laughing together.
That is why I’m hoping that most of my future posts on TheTarotHive.com blog (which will be launched sometime in 2025) will be inspired by community engagement, real-life stories and questions from subscribers. Honestly, I don’t have a super-specific plan other than the desire to keep things real.
Do you remember? We used to be able to do that on any number of social media platforms 15 years ago but now it’s all about the almighty algorithm and AI-generated content. I can’t fight the algorithm/AI monster so I’m not even going to try. Instead, I will be the truest version of myself as a Tarot reader and Metaphysical teacher that I can be, trusting that this will attract my tribe to the Tarot Hive.
So, in the spirit of all of the above, will you please let me know how I can best serve you? What are your feelings about how the Internet has changed in the past few years? Do you feel more or less connected? How and why? Most importantly, what would make you feel more connected and as if you belong to a community of kindred spirits?
Vote in the poll below and please leave a comment. I think the comment engagement is what I miss the most from when I first started blogging. In 2025, I also hope to find ways of using the chat for this newsletter in a way that makes everyone feel welcome to speak and ask questions.

I didn't vote because all of them work for me. So, please write what you feel inspired to.
Yes, I miss the commenting on blogs. Commenting is getting to know each other. And it's fun to read them. My blog on my website used to get comment, now it seldom does.🥹 Thankfully, my Substack gets comments.
I vote for all of them. Got to love variety x
